What is google adsense?  Google Adsense is a pay-per-click or PPC Advertising program.

What that means, in short...

Let's say A company pays Google to advertise for them.  What google does is generate an Ad for them.  This is Google's program called Adwords.  Now let's say you publish a website.  If you wanted to make some money you could have that adwords ad posted on your website and get paid every time you get a click on that particular ad.  This is adsense!
